Cidre with Rosie?

I’m sure this isn’t what Laurie Lee meant when he wrote his famous book Cider with Rosie, but at the time I doubt rosé wine had made it to rural England. However it appears that the French now drink cider… or maybe they are trying to tempt the ladies of this province off of their Rosé wines and sparkling tipples. Either way I shall wait to see if pink ‘cidre’ takes off over here.
